Hello there!

Ahmed is a fourth-year UofT student and the new HHCC Treasurer. He has been volunteering at the club for the past two years and served as the Communications Officer for 2022-2023. Additionally, as a National Arbiter, Ahmed has helped officiate over 10 HHCC tournaments, including the 2024 Canadian Closed. Interestingly, he has arbitered more rated tournaments than he has played in. Beyond chess, Ahmed enjoys cooking new dishes, working out at the gym, programming personal tools, and gaming.

As Treasurer, Ahmed’s main goals are:

• Inclusivity & Equity: He will make sure the budget benefits all members and that everyone who wants to participate in the CUCC has the opportunity to do so.
