The Hart House Chess Club, the official chess club of the University of Toronto, is pleased to host the 2026 Canadian University Chess Championships (CUCC) from January 16th – 18th, 2026. The Hart House Chess Club is the oldest, continuously-active chess club in Canada and will celebrate its 130th anniversary in the 2025-2026 academic year. The club previously hosted the Canadian University Chess Championships in 2015, 2010, and 2005.
